Apple’s computers were once the gold standard reserved for creative professionals and graphic designers: top notch build-quality that used to be non-existent in the PC world. Owning a Mac in the past was a status symbol of the creative professional, a statement in a PC dominated world. Apple’s recent shift in focusing more on the mainstream market kind of antagonized this status. Now even my grandmother owns a Mac! Apple doesn’t put the creative professional in mind when creating its devices. Their devices are now anything but pro... well, at least compared to Microsoft's Surface line up, which screams "creative pro." Most of us feel ignored and left out. Our loyalty seemed betrayed. Sure we're a small piece of the market, but Apple forgot that if we didn't stick with them in the early days they wouldn't enjoy their status quo today.
